Wednesday Wildcard: Spanish Facilitation w/ Mark
Still ironing out the kinks here but this is basically Spanish-speaking figure drawing. Want more instruction/facilitation in Spanish? Want more people around you to socialize with who speak Spanish? Come to this night. If you’re an English speaker obviously you can still come but you better be attempting to speak Spanish.

THIS ONE IS A BIT DIFFERENT: We're still going to show and explain all the layers of clothing, but for this night we'll be delving into Wheatley's life, work, and her impact on Boston. We will have the chance to recreate the actual portrait/frontspiece of PW featured in her book, Poems on Various Subjects, Religious and Moral (🔥), and we are going to do a whole HOUR final pose - so bring your paint! bring your brushes! bring your patience! Portrait Club
Portrait Club at Life Drawing Boston is a community-centric, portrait focused evening. The model is selected in advance from past participants in the group, and they pose dressed as they choose and often with props. Poses typically are 20, 40, and 60 minutes long (with breaks) affording time to work in different styles and mediums. At the end of the evening, the model may request one of the works completed by each of the artists who joined for the evening to leave with a set of portraits of themself.

Each month has been a different theme that is designed with the help of the model/historical interpreter and often the costumes are MADE by the people modeling them! Cas provides way more legit content than I do; they talk about the time period, highlight details about what you’re drawing, and they’re funny as hell. There’s a backdrop, the music matches the theme... I swear y’all this program is elevated. Anyway! Come through

FREE Y&E Dessert Potluck
THIS FRIDAY, MARCH ONLY we’re changing things up and having a FREE YES & EVERYTHING DESSERT POTLUCK! If you like the social breaks, the check-in Qs, we’ve designed a potluck to move you through that experience at the next level. There will be table shuffling, extensive and unfolding check-in questions, and tea & desserts.
This is the event to come to to get to know the Y&E community, connect with other creatives and non-creatives, spread ideas, learn stuff, make enemies, laugh together grow together and plug in.
Expect another raucous show first Friday of April but for now let’s get down to it and make some conversational magic happen!
