Facilitation

At every Loov program, facilitators are repsonsible for the experience of the participants - not just the logistics of the evnts. Under-facilitated programs lead to participants feeling disconnectd, awkward. As a facilitator, you are responsible, and people are looking to you for that. An active facilitator names social rules and expectations so that the group is clear and social norms are established that protect people. An under-facilitated event…

What the rules are, however, are largely up to you; provided they are intentional and named.

However, all Loov programs include the following notes:

  • Talk to strangers

  • If you come with friends, that’s great, but do not create your own social bubble.

  • Smart phones are not to be used during social breaks.

Setup

Chairs:
Folding chairs can be found in the garage area. I don’t know how many there are.

Tables:
Folding tables can be found in the garage area. There are 13 round tables, 3 high-top tables, 3 8-foot rectangular tables.

Lights:

  • Lights are set up to light the model. They must be plugged in at the columns in the center of the room.

  • String lights must also be plugged in; they are on a dimmer, and can be adjusted for brightness.

  • Additional Clamp Lights can be found and plugged in/set up wherever you want/need.

  • Neon light/colorful lights along the back wall can be turned on by turning on the power strip underneath the neon sign.

  • Hanging red lanterns above the couches can be turned on with a light switch on the wall, next to the book shelf.

  • Colorful lights around the couch area can be turned on by turning on the power strip on the ground next to the book shelf.

Food

Food is provided and can be found in the white fridge and the tall cabinet.Use as much as you need, based on your attendance, & please text David after the session so I know how much food is left for the next session (2406784399).
